You’re Washing Your Hands Wrong. Here’s How to Wash Your Hands the Right Way

Apparently, there are two schools of thought when it comes to washing your hands. There’s the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) approved way, which we all do already. Which is wrong. And there’s the WHO (World Health Organization) method, which is better and cleaner and “microbiologically more effective”. Which is right. The CDC way? Just rubbing your hands together. The WHO way? Well, it’s something else.

The right way to wash your hands is so damn complicated that no one will ever do it. In fact, I’m pretty sure no one has ever done it in the history of life. The New York Times explains that the WHO method goes like this: rub palms together, rub each palm over the other hand interlacing fingers, twist palms, interlock fingers and twist, thumbs in palms, and then rub tips of fingers in palms. Yeah.
