Stem Cells Can Be Turned Into Killing Machines That Fight Brain Tumors

Researchers from Harvard Medical School have genetically engineered stem cells to produce and secrete toxins which kill brain tumors, without killing normal cells or themselves. Though the work was performed on mice, researchers call it “the future of cancer treatment.” Clinical trials could start within five years.
