Last night, viewers witnessed one of the greatest awards show fuck-ups of all time. After accidentally announcing that La La Land had won Best Picture, producers for the Academy Awards came out and explained that it was all a big mistake. Moonlight had actually won. It was awkward, to say the least. But it’s bringing out the memes. There will always be memes.
La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz held up a card for the camera to show that Moonlight had actually won, providing quite the opportunity for a meme. So we here at Gizmodo invite you to give us your own best take on the Oscar fuck-up of the decade (century, maybe?). We’ll post the winners in a follow-up post.
Below, we have just a few of the photoshop jobs we’ve already seen doing the rounds.

Of course, the card isn’t the only version of this meme that’s currently circulating online. So go wild. Versions of the infamous “Dewey Defeats Truman” newspaper cover have also been popular, as you can see from this photoshop on Imgur.
What’ve you got, nerds?
