How To Hack Windows Laptops With Mac-Like Trackpad Gestures

Attempting to scroll with two fingers on a Windows laptop trackpad after using a MacBook makes you feel like a right fool, I know. It’s not the end of the story though, with Lifehacker revealing two hacks for Windows users.

While it won’t give you full Mac-like functionality, being able to scroll with two fingers or make gestures with three will certainly improve efficiency. Lifehacker’s done a comprehensive run-through for people who want just the two-finger scrolling (which is much easier, as you don’t have to hack the drivers, just change a couple of settings).

The full shebang however is much more complex, as you’ll have to uninstall the Synaptics drivers your laptop hopefully uses, and then try some new ones on for size. There follows a convoluted tinkering of system settings, but Lifehacker reports that they’re “already feeling both more productive and less jealous of MacBook owners.” Let us know how you get on if you try either of the hacks.
