Run and hide your iPhone as a dangerous PDF exploit will let malware infect your handset. Cyber criminals will then use this malware to steal your sensitive information says Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security.
Does this scenario sound familiar? It should as variants of this browser-based exploit have been around since 2007. In iPhone OS 1.1.1, it was a Tiff rendering vulnerability and in iPhone OS 2.0, it was a PDF file that caused all the problems. This PDF hole reared its ugly head again in iOS 4. Each time, Apple patched the exploit and everyone calmed down.

Now, the vulnerability shows up again in iOS 4.3.3 and the German Security Office is there to issue its dire warning. The press release warns people to be careful with their iPhone or iPad and wait until Apple issues a patch to close the hole.
