  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

The english language is already being bastardized enough on this site by many and now we are starting to see more and more people abuse the [dot dot dot]. NTNC, KrazyKraut and kikidude2 (plus some others) need to have their fingers slapped for kicking the shit out of the poor old full-stop with diarrhea.:eek::eek:

Sure I use it in a more traditional manner but not to a point of abuse, plus it is 3 dots ... not a hail of bullet fire.

Sorry ... just thinking out loud, carry on X'ers. ;):excited::rose:

    When............
    this constitutes...........an entire response.............

A line of full stops isn't a pause between words. This is why we use the comma and the semicolon.

A suspension point is placed in a sentence to denote the ommission of a word or phrase and not to replace the semi-colon or the comma, which is basically a "breath" in a sentence to separate points along the same line of thought.

To use it is fine but to make a post look like a target practice page is getting a bit carried away and makes the post annoying to read and might be passed over by some that agree with my thought.

    E-slap, lol. :p:p:p;):excited:

    No worries bro.

Hafta agree with you about the ellipses. It is meant to signify missing words. However, I'm uncertain about the use of your word "breath" when talking about a comma. Too many people put in a comma when they take a breath, and grammatically it isn't necessarily the correct place to put one.

BTW, my friends call me the Comma Queen. I'd like to be known for something more illustrious, but oh the fuck well.

Didn't you learn that you are not supposed to use a comma before "and" and "but"?

    Bad doggy, lol. ;):excited:

I'm guilty of the overuse of question marks at times as well. Imagine if suddenly we ran out of the good old question mark without notice and we weren't able to let people know if we were asking a question or simply expressing a thought.:eek::eek:;):excited::p

Right. Usually five full stops are used to denote a word's omission, and three can take the place of the abbreviation 'etc'. If a person means to insert a "breath" between their words or within their sentence, a comma or a semicolon works a hell of a lot better when used properly.

Seasoning your sentences with random punctuation is not much better. If you don't know how to use something, you shouldn't include it in what you're writing.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Didn't see that one coming. :p

I like the new Av much better, it's not as vulgar. :excited:

That's better than being known as the "Coma Queen". ;):p

I just meant a breath so that the sentence doesn't get run-on, mixing 2 points together. :excited:

If they are reading their sentence(s) aloud, then the placement of their commas should be grammatically correct for the most part.

Commas sometimes substitute for the successive use of the word 'and' too.

    This made me laugh.

I must admit that I am one of the guilty ones. My reason being that in a site like this I do not worry too much about grammar, I write the way I speak. I tend to pause a lot and consider my next words when I am nervous, shy or in general caught unawares and it tends to reflect in my writing with suspension dots.

All though, what bugs me more that the overuse of punctuation marks is the lack of them. I hate having to read a post two or three times because I have to guess where all the commas and periods are supposed to go. It drives me insane! (I am far from having proper grammar or spelling myself but I try to make sure I make a little sense at least)

Ah, but the comma doesn't keep it from being a run-on sentence. A semi-colon would. The comma just creates a comma splice problem.

Hey Pussy Shark, I like the new av better too. The other one always made my pussy tighten up in a not so good way.

The comma is one of the most misused forms of punctuation that we see in most writings.

I try to get it right but probably tend to misplace them at times, as most people do. ;)

I talk with a certain "linguistics major" here periodically that I can always ask for help with my punctuation, if not just to make conversation and get "verbally spanked" as well. :excited:

Sometimes I use it as a long pause. Kind of like I would speak it.
(long pause) isn't near as easy to type.
